The Commission hires individuals for Public Safety, Grounds and Building Maintenance, Custodial, Airport Operations, and Administrative positions. Facilities and Grounds Manager

This position, in coordination with the Director of Operations and Maintenance, is primarily responsible for ensuring the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport is in compliance with Part 139 Certification requirements and is inspection ready at all times. This position oversees the maintenance and appearance of the airport terminal building, airport facilities and support systems; additional responsibilities include training, scheduling and supervising maintenance employees in facilities and grounds divisions, requisitioning necessary materials/supplies and equipment, preparing work specifications for and overseeing work of outside contractors; evaluates new equipment and maintenance procedures to keep the airport current on best practices and operating at peak efficiency.

Facilities Supervisor

This position is primarily responsible for supervising, leading, coordinating and directing staff to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on-time. Manages daily activities and oversee safety protocols, necessary for the  routine and non-routine skilled maintenance, repair and restoration of airport facilities and equipment, including the terminal and other airport buildings and their supporting utility and mechanical systems including airfield lighting systems, security access system, airfield gates and  passenger loading bridges, plumbing, painting, carpentry masonry and other building maintenance tasks; monitors assigned tasks of other employees and conducts training as needed; performs snow removal duties, as directed.

 Business Analyst

Under the general direction of the Chief of Staff, performs business analytics for Roanoke Regional Airport Commissions’ business functions, supports strategic initiatives, enhances operations, and optimizes and drives revenue growth for the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA). Working collaboratively with stakeholders, analyzes and provides statistical performance data, assists with development and monitoring of the Airport's revenue and expense budgets, coordinates and participates in special projects, and delivers actionable insights to enhance Commission decision-making.

Access and ID Manager

This position is primarily responsible for supervising the Access and ID Office, ensuring compliance with Federal and Commission regulations, policies, and practices pertaining to the issuance of security identification media and employee parking access media, RRAC keys, locks and related access control items; Shall become certified and serve as Associate Airport Security Coordinator, works closely with the Airport Security Coordinator to ensure Airport compliance with applicable security regulations and policies.
