Roanoke VA., September 14, 2020 – September 15-17 the Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport will conduct training unique to airport operations, aircraft rescue and firefighting live burn training.

The Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport Public Safety Office will conduct live burn training using an aircraft rescue training simulator. The live burn schedule is September 15, 16 and 17 from 8am to 12pm.

The training program will take place in a secured area. If you are interested in covering the training event, please schedule a time so that staff can direct and escort you to the training.

The training will not affect flights arriving or departing from the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport.
