In preparation for installation of the Walkway Canopy, Portions of the Long Term Parking Lot will be closed.

Beginning the week of August 14 the South East portion of the Long Term Parking Lot will be closed for the construction of the Walkway Canopy Project. The Walkway Canopy will provide protection from the elements for travelers from the end of the Long Term Parking Lot to the Terminal. During the construction there will be partial lot closures in addition to rerouting pedestrian and vehicle traffic in both the Short Term and Long Term Lots.

During the Lot closures the Overflow Parking Lot will be available for use.

“We are pleased to begin the Walkway Canopy Project. Once completed the Canopy will shelter our customers from the elements while walking to or from the terminal building to the parking lots,” stated Tim Bradshaw, A.A.E., executive director of the Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport.  “Protection from the weather walking to and from the terminal is something our customers have asked for and we are happy to provide this new amenity as part of our continuing efforts to make the Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport the airport of choice for the region.”
