Fly Local First Policy

If air transportation is to be utilized for travel by an employee of (organization name), the employee will first explore the option of using Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (ROA). If the cost of a flight through ROA is within $300 of a flight out of North Carolina or other Virginia airports, the employee is required to use ROA. Any exception to this policy must be approved by (name or department that will approve exceptions).
